We take two trainees a year and we keep them. Of the eleven current partners, seven qualified here. It makes for a slow-growing firm and an unusually consistent one — the way a matter is run in 2026 is recognisably the way it was run in 1996.
We do not have a business development department. Work arrives because somebody we acted for eleven years ago has a friend with a problem, which remains the only marketing that has ever worked for a firm like this.
