Compliance filed early. Advice given unprompted.

Everything below is fixed-fee and agreed in writing before we start. There are no hourly rates, no surprise invoices at the end of a quarter, and no charge for picking up the telephone — which sounds like a small thing and is in practice the whole relationship.

Most clients take three or four of these. Nobody is ever sold something they do not need, partly because we are not incentivised that way and partly because carrying a service a client resents is a very slow way to lose them.

One number, agreed before we begin.

One

Fixed, not hourly

You are quoted a figure for the year and it does not move unless the business does. If turnover doubles we will talk about it. If you ring us eleven times in March, you will not be billed for it.

Two

Paid monthly

Twelve equal direct debits, rather than one invoice landing in the same month as your corporation tax bill. It is a small kindness that makes a surprising difference to a January.

Three

Reviewed annually

Every January we tell you what the fee will be for the coming year and why. Roughly a third of those reviews go down.

Not sure which of these you need?

Most people ask for year-end accounts and turn out to need management information. A ninety-minute conversation settles it, and there is no charge for it.
