Rooms · eleven

No two are the same shape.

It is a 1740 farmhouse, so the rooms are whatever the walls allowed. We have stopped apologising for it — the odd ones are the ones people ask for by name.

Hypnos beds

Made forty miles away, and the single thing guests write to us about most often.

No television

There is one in the snug if you need the rugby. In the rooms there are books and a window.

A proper bath

Cast iron, deep enough to submerge in, and hot water that does not run out at nine o'clock.

Breakfast included

Cooked to order until ten, and until eleven on a Sunday because that is civilised.
